These technologies describe different attributes of paving. A collection may combine several; each specification identifies the mix, finish, protective treatment and format selected for the project.

COLOR & COMPOSITION
Face Mix. Beauty through the layer.
A face-mix paver brings two concrete mixes together: a refined, pigmented surface layer and a structural base with larger aggregates. The face controls the visible color and grain; the body supports the unit. It creates a precise surface with rich color and a finer texture, while keeping the two layers integrally bonded.
Choose it for refined color, a consistent visual grain and a carefully finished surface.
Available across selected Elevation paving collections. The exact mix and surface vary by product.
Factory protection is applied or integrated during production, before paving reaches the project. Some collections use a penetrating treatment and surface sealer; others incorporate integral protection throughout the unit. These are different systems with a shared purpose: helping resist everyday staining and preserving the specified appearance.
Choose it for easier routine cleaning and a finish protected from the start.
Availability varies by collection, color and format. Face mix alone does not mean a paver is factory sealed. Follow the care instructions for the selected product.
Curling uses a sequence of rotating brushes to work the concrete face, remove surplus cement and polish exposed aggregate. The result can retain its underlying texture while feeling smoother to the touch. It is one way to refine a surface after other mechanical treatments.
Understand it as a finishing method that changes touch and sheen.
Curling and bush-hammering are distinct treatments. Grand Reverence is specified with a bush-hammered finish; a curled finish is confirmed only where documented for the selected product.
A DIFFERENT MECHANICAL FINISH
Grand Reverence. Bush-hammered character.
Bush-hammering works the concrete face with mechanical tooling to produce a textured, weathered expression. In Elevation Grand Reverence, this treatment brings stone-like character to a dimensionally compatible concrete paving system.
Factory protection is available in selected Grand Reverence colors. Confirm the complete color and finish specification before ordering.
Palazzo is a hydro-pressed concrete slab collection. Hydraulic pressing forms the concrete in a mold, creating an architectural paving unit for carefully designed on-grade and elevated assemblies. Available formats include 12 × 12, 12 × 24 and 24 × 24 inches. The chosen finish gives each slab its final surface expression.
Choose Palazzo for terraces, courtyards and designed pedestal applications.
On-grade Palazzo installations require joint spacers. Pedestal support, loads and layout follow the exact slab and support-system specifications.
Ground to reveal the aggregate in a smooth, polished expression.
Contempo
Shot-blasted for a more tactile surface with exposed aggregate.
Venetian
Grinding and shot-blasting combine aggregate definition with a delicately textured face.
THE ELEVATION SELECTION PROCESS
Start with the space. Finish with the sample.
We begin with your architecture, palette and application. Then we coordinate the paving format, texture, protection, joint material and complete installation assembly. Approve the physical sample before we confirm the order.
